We are excited to announce that our training programme for volunteers interested in becoming involved in our ‘Big Hopes Big Future’ Pilot project will be starting on Tuesday 24th January from 10am -12.30pm in Shirrell Heath Methodist Church Hall. The training will comprise of 4 weekly sessions covering the following topics:
- What is School Readiness?
- Parental engagement in early learning
- Using a solution focused approach
- Positive Reinforcement
- Managing Children’s Behaviour
- Establishing routines
- Promoting early literacy
- Working with a family
The training will be compulsory for any volunteers wishing to get involved in the project directly, but would also be useful for any volunteer who would like to get a deeper understanding of the topics covered for work with the family they are currently supporting.
The dates for the course are as follows:
Tues 17th Jan 2017
Tues 24th Jan 2017 – 10am – 12.30pm at Shirrell Heath Methodist Church
Tues 7th Feb 2017
Tues 14th Feb 2017
